Once upon a time, a dollar was born. It was in a magical land called Dubai, a place known for that cool scene in Mission Impossible 4 and for even cooler labor practices. The dollar flew all the way to the USA, where it was given to a powerful lady named Neera. (Neera’s friend Bill liked flying too, but that’s for another story.)
Neera said “dollar, let’s make a list of things we can do!”
You could pay for my supply of uppers
Or perhaps my friend John’s pizza suppers
Gotta pay my cell phone bill
So I can keep tweeting that Susan Sarandon should be killed
I could also pay the speed dealer, I just bought an eighth
I complained to his manager cos he was five minutes late
Maybe I’ll send a buck Mother Hillary’s way
I’m sure getting left out of her book was a mistake
Or I could pay off the employee I punched
Which won me the Klobuchar award for boss of the month
You know? I’ll buy a thank you card for my friends in Dubai
I took their advice, gave my workers a black eye
Then I’ll take another dollar and pour some red wine
Because no matter what I do or say, I’m going to be just fine
